Tee Town Golf Ranch PE Golf Initiative
Golf Opportunites for a Lifetime of Fun
Purpose - To provide developmentally appropriate golf equipment, training, and classroom support for elementary and middle school physical education programs while ensuring opportunities for children to utilize these skills outside the classroom. This program provides for an inexpensive first touch to golf so that children can discover the game when they discover football, baseball, basketball and soccer.
Overview of the Program
Golf in P.E. - The best resource to teach motor skill development in children is the physical educator in the school systems. Many other sports are taught at the fundamental level as part of the physical education curriculum and golf should be no different. The SNAG equipment and coaching system through Tee Town Golf Ranch provides an accredited curriculum complete with lesson plans, physical educator certification in classroom support to allow for learning to take place in the PE environment while eliminating the fear associated with teaching or learning golf.
Tee Town Golf Ranch assists school systems and physical educators in this process by providing in service classroom support, curriculum development, after school programming, field trips, league play and a link to the golf industry to ensure that skills continue to develop beyond the classroom.
